Ragley Hall

Park & Gardens

The title of Marquess of Hertford was created in 1793 for Francis, 2nd Lord Conway who was rewarded with the Ragley estate for services to his country. Since the Hertford occupation, Ragley hall faced mixed fortunes until the 8th Marquess and Marchioness made the decision to use Ragley as a hospital during the Second World War. Following that they worked tirelessly to restore Ragley. In 1958, Ragley became one of the first stately homes to open to the public.
